Introducing Tammy Malone

For those of you who are waiting on pins and needles to see the announcement of the new Design Team members for P K Glitz, we are going to have to ask you to wait just a little longer. The whole decision making process is taking a little longer than what was originally expected so please be patient.

In the meantime, we realized that our existing design team has never been formally introduced so I would like to start off by introducing  myself.

I am  Tammy and I am living with my wonderful husband and very quickly growing teenage son on a small farm in North East Texas.  It seems that all of my life I have been involved in some sort of crafting.  In 1995 I began scrapbooking - at my husband's request. Now I have someone to blame for my addiction :) In 2001 my art took on a whole new form when I discovered rubber stamps.

I met Jim and Janelle Marshall (owners of P K Glitz) at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas. Their booth was hopping with customers and they were needing help so they hired me at the recommendation of Andrea (who you will meet tomorrow).  By the following year Janelle had decided to form a design team and asked me to join the team and as the saying goes "the rest is history!"

I have been published in several print and online magazines and have had opportunities to teach classes both online and in person.  The best part of this industry is that I have been able to meet new friends and share my love of crafting with others.

How would you describe your style?
My style changes with my mood but for the most part my projects stay pretty clean with just a little shabby chic thrown in for good measure ;) I have never really known how to describe the way I create.

What are your favorite colors to work with?
I love anything from Easter colors to bright yellows, pinks, greens, blues, and corals.

What do you like to do when you are not in your studio creating?
I love walking along our creek and spending time with our animals. I usually have my camera with me and try to work on my outdoor photography skills.

Do you prefer to work on scrapbook projects or make cards?
My first love is scrapbook pages, but I also like creating dimensional projects using my stash. Cards are a great way to use up extra supplies when I am done creating.

What is your favorite - P K Glitz embossing powder or glitter glitz?
It would have to be the P K Glitz glitter - especially since I have almost all of the colors. I also really like the E P Max and E P Lite embossing glitters especially when working in my scrapbooks or altering an embellishment.

Here is a project that I recently created using embossing powder and embossing glitter with the Colorful Companions stamp set from myStampBOX - a P K Glitz Preferred Partner.
