Our Top Project Post for 2011

Our Top Project Post for 2011 is…..

Are You Ready for Embossing!!!, from January 20, 2011

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to
present a FREE Class on Powder Embossing. It will start with the basics and then, step by step, we will go on to many versatile ways you can use “Powder Keg Embossing Powders”. To begin with we will need:
Heat Tool/Gun – No, a hairdryer will not do, though some have used irons and toasters in the past :)
EP – Embossing Powders, preferably Powder Keg by P K Glitz for best results.
Embossing Ink Clear – Though Versamark Watermark is good for water marking, if you want best embossing results, you need to use an “embossing ink”. They are designed to give you more ink on your paper capturing more EP, resulting in a more colorful finish. I suggest Emboss It or something similar.
CS – Cardstock – The better the quality the better your final results. Thin, inexpensive cardstock has a tendency to “warp” with less professional results.
Stamps – Your choice
AS Brush –
Anti Static Brush/Powder – In trying to become more Eco Friendly we offer an Anti Static, natural hair brush now which, when brushed over your CS, helps eliminate static cling of small EP bits.
Fine Tip Brush for detail work – Optional
Tidy ray – Optional

Let’s Begin………………

Tomorrow we will be announcing the winner of the $100
P K Glitz Prize Package so get your entries in now!

  1. I love using fine glitter on my projects.....it drives my husband nuts because there is always a speck or 2 left - usually on my nose and he just has to pick it off.....sometimes I play with glitter just to annoy him.

But seriously, I have not used the heat embossing technique but will try it soon...... I am scrapping tomorrow ...... the best way to start the new year. Best wishes to you and yours and much success in 2012... ana
